What is Podchaser?
Podchaser is often called the “IMDb for podcasts.” It’s a comprehensive platform where podcasters can list their shows, claim profiles, get reviews, and connect with fans or collaborators. If your podcast isn’t on Podchaser yet, here’s how to add it in just a few minutes.
Step 1: Check if Your Podcast Is Already on Podchaser

Podchaser automatically imports shows from public podcast directories like Apple Podcasts, and you don't want your show to be listed twice.
Before adding your podcast manually:
-
Go to https://www.podchaser.com
-
Use the search bar to look up your podcast by title or RSS feed URL.
-
If you find your show, great! You can claim it (see Step 5).
-
If it’s not listed, continue to Step 2.
Step 2: Sign Up for Saspod

To get an RSS feed, log in or sign up to Saspod, one of the best podcast hosting providers.
-

-
Create Your Show
Step 3: Prepare Your Podcast RSS Feed

To add your podcast to Podchaser, you’ll need your RSS feed URL. You can find this under Distribution - Podchaser in Saspod.
Your RSS feed should already include:
-
Podcast title and description
-
Cover art (minimum 1400x1400 px)
-
Category and language
-
At least one published episode
If your podcast isn’t public yet, publish at least one episode first before submitting.
Step 4: Create a Podchaser Account
If you don’t already have one:
-
Go to Podchaser Sign Up
-
You can register with your email, Google, or Apple account.
-
Once logged in, you’ll have access to your Podchaser creator dashboard.
Step 5: Add Your Podcast Manually

If your show isn’t found in the search results, you can add it manually:
-
Visit https://www.podchaser.com/add or go to your profile and click “Add Podcast.”
-
Fill in your podcast details:
-
Podcast name
-
Description
-
RSS feed URL
-
Website (optional)
-
Cover art
-
Categories
-
Language
-
Click Submit Podcast.
Podchaser will then pull your information from your RSS feed and create a listing for your show.
Step 6: Claim Your Podcast On Podchaser

Once your podcast is listed on Podchaser, you’ll want to claim it to manage the page and access additional features.
To claim:
-
Go to your podcast’s page on Podchaser.
-
Click “Is this your podcast?” or “Claim This Podcast”.
-
You’ll be prompted to verify ownership, usually by email or RSS feed verification through your hosting platform.
-
Once approved, you’ll have admin access to:
Step 6: Enhance Your Podchaser Profile
After claiming your podcast, make it stand out:
-
Add social media links, website, and contact info.
-
Include creator credits (hosts, producers, editors).
-
Encourage your audience to leave reviews on Podchaser.
-
Use Podchaser Pro (optional) for audience analytics and outreach tools.
Step 7: Keep Your Feed Updated
Podchaser automatically updates your listing based on your RSS feed.
To ensure smooth syncing:
-
Keep your feed active and error-free.
-
Don’t change your RSS URL without redirection.
-
Update artwork and metadata through your podcast host (Podchaser will sync it automatically).
Pro Tip:
If you’re using Saspod to host your podcast, your RSS feed is already optimized for directories like Podchaser. You can find it under your Saspod dashboard’s Distribution section and submit it directly.
