As podcasting continues to rise as one of the most powerful content strategies for businesses, it’s no surprise that many have embraced B2B podcasting as their go-to marketing strategy. In this article, we explore the question of how many business podcasts are out there and what the data tells us about the podcasting industry as a whole.
Before we get into the data, let's discuss:
How did we generate these statistics?

Listen Notes is one of the largest podcast directories available, and as you may already know, it automatically indexes publicly available podcasts via their RSS feeds, providing them with additional exposure. However, what many don’t realize is that Listen Notes is also a data company, selling its podcast data to those willing to pay.
While this might sound concerning, it’s not necessarily a bad thing—many legitimate companies use this data to connect with podcasts for real business opportunities. For example, a company looking to sponsor a podcast can leverage Listen Notes' data to filter shows by category, activity level, and even its proprietary Listening Score, a metric that helps gauge a podcast’s popularity. So, we do recommend distributing your podcast to Listen Notes.
We used Listen Notes data to develop these statistics, excluding podcasts that haven't published any episodes in 2025. We also limit the search to the Business category only.
General Statistics
- 14,408+ business podcasts are currently active in English-speaking countries.
- 13,421 business podcasts are active across Europe.
- In 2025, the number of new business podcasts in English-speaking countries grew by 34%.
- Europe saw a 9.5% increase in new business podcasts this year.
- The US experienced the highest growth, with a 44.4% surge in new business podcasts in 2025.
Business Podcasts by English Speaking Countries

As expected, the United States is leading the way in business podcasting by a large margin. Due to the Listen Note's limitation, we couldn't fetch data from more than 10k podcasts, so the number is probably higher. In the second place, we have the UK, which is somehow expected.
The United Arab Emirates is one of the world's largest business hubs—so why are there almost no business podcasts in the UAE?
One reason could be that Listen Notes isn’t widely used in the region. Additionally, podcasts as an audio format may not be as popular in the UAE, where video content, particularly on YouTube, tends to dominate the digital landscape.

Why release a business podcast?
As podcasting has grown in popularity over the years, business podcasts have remained one of the most competitive categories. Many companies leverage podcasting to build brand awareness and strengthen personal branding. This is becoming increasingly important as consumers gravitate toward buying from people rather than faceless institutions.
This has been discussed in The Diary of A CEO with Steven Bartlett. The guest, Daniel Priestley - The Money Making Expert, said, "What I felt very confident about was this idea that the future is going to see a shift from business and institutional brands to personal brands."
This means more founders and CEOs want to get on podcasts and start their own B2B or B2C podcasts.
What is a B2B Podcast?
A B2B podcast is a business-focused podcast designed specifically for a professional audience. Its primary goal is to reach key decision-makers—those with the authority to purchase products or services from the company producing the podcast. A B2B podcast usually stays at the top of the funnel, the audience being a zoomed-out version of the customer avatar. Each episode must have a clear call to action; this could be something soft, such as joining a newsletter or even an advert for a specific service or product the business producing the podcast sells.
Should you produce a B2B Podcast?
Each business is different, so you must answer that question yourself; however, if you need any help, you can contact us, and we would be more than happy to help you!
Conclusions
In conclusion, podcasting is poised for significant growth this year as more businesses adopt it as a core content marketing strategy. While this data may not fully capture the scale of the business podcasting industry—especially with some podcasts being distributed exclusively as video—it still provides valuable insight into the industry's expansion and future potential.
