Hey, I’m Glenn and when I first launched this podcast, it was called Never Mind The Job Spec - a deliberate rejection of overly polished, linear career interviews.
The aim? Honest, informal, human-first conversations about the messy, non-linear paths people actually take on their personal and professional journeys.
Over time, the stories revealed something deeper - the combination of individual purpose and the journey of becoming a Founder and Leader.
So now it’s Real Founder Journeys —a space for raw stories, lessons learned, and personal insight. If you’re a Founder, builder, or just startup-curious, this one’s for you.

My guest is Lewis Maleh and he and I first met through a networking introduction; from that introduction, we have gone on to talk about all manner of topics regarding the talent acquisition and recruitment industry as Guests on each other's live shows and through regular virtual coffees.
Lewis joins me to chat about his journey from graduating with a degree in Chemistry to founding his own Retail manufacturing and distribution business and his first encounter with the recruitment industry. Fast forward to present day and Lewis is the Founder and CEO of Bentley Lewis, an established executive search firm based in London that has built a quality client portfolio over the last 10 years.
We also discuss Lewis’ entrepreneurial spirit, his thoughts on kindness and human connectivity and how starting a business can provide so many opportunities and insights about people and the modern business world.
